Project summary
MicroHEI is a project focused on developing the first standardised European framework for micro-credentials dedicated to academic and administrative staff in higher education. The project supports professional development through the creation of 12 online micro-courses in the areas of digital transformation, sustainability, and inclusion, as well as through the establishment of a European quality label for micro-credentials integrated with the Europass platform. The consortium will develop a common competence framework, national implementation guidelines, and an online observatory for monitoring the evolution of micro-credentials in Europe. The project promotes internationalisation, lifelong learning, and the transferability and recognition of competences across the European Higher Education Area.
Role of FERI in the project:
UM FERI leads Work Package 4 (WP4), focused on the implementation of micro-courses, the awarding of micro-credentials, and the evaluation of their use and recognition. It also contributes to the development of the common competence framework, pilot activities, dissemination, and the long-term sustainability of the project results related to professional development in higher education.
