An interdisciplinary student team from the University of Maribor won 1st place at the regional round of the international Global Competition on Design for Future Education (GCD4FE), held in Zagreb (Zagreb University of Applied Sciences), and has qualified for the global finals, which will take place from July 26 to 28, 2025, in Beijing.
The team consists of third-year students from the Informatics and Data Technologies program at UM FERI – Gaja Gujt, Boban Boshevski, Tevž Starovasnik, and Adam Kac – along with Eva Ekart, a student from the Faculty of Education at the University of Maribor. Their solution was developed under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boštjan Šumak (UM FERI).
The GCD4FE competition brings together university teams from around the world to develop innovative solutions for the future of education. The final event offers a valuable opportunity to showcase knowledge, strengthen international visibility, and establish new professional collaborations.
