The TechWhiz project, which we have been running at the Institute of Informatics since 2022, ends on 30 September 2024. Just before the end of the project, the partners met one last time, this time in Heraklion, Crete. At the final meeting, some time was devoted to presenting all the final results of the project and to coordinating the very last details. An important part of the meeting was also the preparation of the project’s end-of-project report. At the closing dinner, the main topics discussed were the continuation of the project, future collaborations and new challenges.
The hosts of the meeting also organised a multiplier event. The event was held live and online and mainly local stakeholders were invited (deaf people, their relatives and sign language interpreters were present). The motivation for the project and its results were presented to them. Participants were invited to test the resulting tools themselves and to comment on them.
Just at the end of the project, we also organised a multiplier event in Maribor, which took place on 30. 9. 2024 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. The event was aimed at local stakeholders. The main results and the main challenges of their production were presented at the event. Participants had the opportunity to try out all the tools and to enrol in the TechWhiz course.
