On November 14, FERI conducted a workshop entitled Pedagogical Innovation and Collection of Good Practices: Exploration of AI Tools for Pedagogical Innovation and Development of Good Practices in Inclusive Education in the framework of AI ENABLE project. This event, part of the university’s broader initiative on pedagogical innovation, was also a collaborative effort between the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (FERI) and the Faculty of Education (PEF) under the PŠP NOO project. The PŠP NOO and AI-ENABLE projects are complementary in their aims: The primary objective of the PŠP NOO project is to enhance existing educational programs by integrating topics on digital literacy and sustainability. Meanwhile, the AI-ENABLE initiative emphasizes practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI) to foster inclusivity within education.
In the workshop, the team from FERI presented ways to integrate inclusive teaching practices with Universal Design for Learning (UDL), along with general applications of AI in education. The session highlighted specific AI tools that promote inclusivity, showcasing examples of their practical application in teaching.
The second part of the workshop was a hands-on workshop, where the participants, higher education teachers from the Faculty of Education, addressed their own classroom challenges related to inclusivity in digital education. Together, they shared experiences and brainstormed innovative solutions, laying the groundwork for a follow-up session to continue this important conversation.
